The Green Tick project takes action against the uncontrolledspread of information regarding health, sports, food, sleep,exercise, body image, weight loss, diets, and physical activity onsocial media and digital apps. Similar to how WADA examinedathletes' supplement use, Green Tick will examine whether socialmedia and digital apps related to health, diet, and sports areconvenient, reliable, and confirmable. The project aims to serve asa guide and, in some respects, as a regulator in this domain.In this context, the proposal aims to create an umbrellamechanism responsible for delivering the Green Tick label tosocial media accounts and digital apps that provide credible andtrustworthy content on health, diet, and sports. Consequently,this initiative seeks to improve understanding and awarenessabout physical activity, health, and diet. It also aims to boost theinvolvement of young people in sports across the EU healthily, byoffering guidance, training, and oversight mechanisms.
